Surunga Municipality: Elected Nepali Congress chief Gita Chaudhary (Tharuni) today took the oath of office by swearing in the names of the people of Surunga Municipality.

मलाई,सुरुङ्गा नगर पालिकाको मेयर जस्तो गरिमामय पदमा आफ्नो अमुल्य मत प्रदान गरि ३०७५ फरक मतले विजयी गराउनु भएकोमा सबै प्रती हार्दिक आभार, कृतज्ञता प्रकट गर्दछु ।
Gita Chaudhary Tharuni was elected by getting 7,292 votes. His nearest rival, Ram Narayan Chaudhary of the CPN (Unified Socialist), polled 4,270 votes.
गिता चौधरी थारुनीले ७ हजार २ सय ९२ मत प्राप्त गरी निर्वाचित भएकी थिइन्। भने उनको निकटतम प्रतिद्वन्द्वी मा ने•क•पा (एकीकृत समाजवादी) का रामनारायण चौधरीले ४ हजार २ सय ७० मत प्राप्त गरेका थियो।
