Nepal Election Commission (NEC) is starting the work of re-compiling the voter list for the upcoming House of Representatives and State Assembly elections from today.
The voter list compilation was postponed from January 10 after the government announced that the local level election would be held on April 12.
The postponed work is being resumed from today. Those who have temporarily resided outside their permanent address in connection with various professions, occupations and studies will also be able to register their names in the voters' roll from the place where they reside. However, they have been told to cast their ballots from wherever their voter list.
