On 2079/02/23, Ram Narayan Chaudhary (vice president red cross society Saptari ) died after being hit by a bus coming from the opposite direction while the scooter was being stopped by the traffic police checking at Khadak Municipality Ward No. 5 Ranjitpur of Saptari. He was nominated for the post of mayor by Ekikirit Samajbadi party on local election of Nepal 2079.
